The wood that is used to create Sierra Stix is primarily harvested in the Sierra Nevada Mountains, the San Bernardino Mountains, Northern California and Oregon. However, I am not above using wood from one of my own fruit trees or from just about any other legal source. All wood that is harvested is dead wood, except for an occasional live branch acquired from private property (with permission, of course).
